RoadData system privacy policy / data protection statement

1. Description of the system/application

Jalonne RoadData is an information system for road maintenance. It
acquires image data with time and position, plus inertial sensor data.
The data is acquired by means of mobile devices, in a limited crowd
sourcing arrangement.

2. Description of data processed in the system

The system processes data aqcuired with mobile devices, identification
data of the mobile devices, and data of the system users. The mobile
devices acquire timestamps, positions, still images and video footage
plus inertial sensor data (acceleration, angular velocity). Moreover,
the systems stores logs of its usage.

User information is stored only as long as there is a legal basis to do
so, and storage is necessary for purposes stated above. User information
is only processed to enable the functions stated above.

3. Disclosure of data

The only data that can be disclosed to a third party are image and
sensor data. The disclosure always requires an agreement. In addition,
representatives of a Customer have limited rights to obtain data from
the system.

4. Location of data storage

The data is stored within the EU.

5. The rights of a registered user

A registered user has rights to get acess to his/her personal data, ask
their rectification or omission from the system, request a limitation or
oppose the handling of the data, and transfer the personal data to
another system. A registered user also has the right to file a complaint
to data protection authorities, in case of perceived illegal personal
